SCARCE is a not-for-profit environmental education and resource rescue organization. We provide environmental education to kids and community members as well as projects to help people take action to protect our resources. The resources rescued (books, musical instruments, school and art supplies) are chosen by teachers and others serving kids and adults in need. 7.5 million books have been chosen by teachers and not for profit organizations since 1991! We want everyone to have the tools they need to reach their potential in a healthy world.
What Can You Do To Get Involved?
Volunteers are needed to help organize book collections, sort books, arrange and check educational materials and resources, make Super Crayons, assist teachers who come to SCARCE for much needed supplies, help at Recycling Extravaganzas and lots more! Visit scarce.org to find out how you can get involved!
Stop by the Library on Monday, January 20 from 10 to 11 am to speak with a SCARCE representative or check out the Where Is Away exhibit under the dome.
